These pictures are from my tour in January 2020.Include Simon´s Town, Cape of Good Hope and Chapman´s Peak Drive.

SIMON´S TOWN

This is a charming village with numerous Victorian buildings in the Main Street – and famous for the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach near by.

This time we stayed at the nice hotel by the seaside aha Simons Town Quayside Hotel. Lovely decorated room, view to the sea – and the stay includes a great breakfast at the restaurant in the same building.

When staying in Simon´s Town we also had a tour with “Shark Explorers”.
It was both diving and snorkeling with seals and some kind of sharks.
We did just snorkeling and it was a great experience.
This is a video taken with a GoPro camera – as you can see, one of the seals are quite curious:

CAPE OF GOOD HOPE

Cape of the Good Hope is the southern end of Cape Peninsula, and is often thought to be the southernmost point of Africa, but that is Cape Agulhas, some 150 km to the east, which we also visited when we stayed in Hermanus.

When we reached Cape Of Good Hope, it was raining. Not so many people around, so we were able to get a picture by the famous sign.

Because of the rain we did not visit Cape Point this time.

We met both osterichs and baboons in this area. We also watched some bontebok antelopes.

CHAPEMAN´S PEAK DRIVE

‘Chappies’ – local speak for Chapman’s Peak Drive – is one of Cape Town‘s most famous landmarks. Nine kilometres and 114 curves of breathtaking scenery brings you from Noordhoek to Hout Bay, or the other way around. It took seven years to build and was opened in 1922.
Some say it is one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world.
